KUALA LUMPUR, March 8 – Malaysia’s ophthalmology community made history with the inaugural Malaysia Women Ophthalmology Forum, Empowering Visions, held in commemoration of International Women’s Day. Organized by Roche Malaysia Sdn Bhd, the event served as a platform to spotlight women’s inclusion, empowerment, and innovation in healthcare, with a special focus on ophthalmology.
Moderated by Freda Liu of The Shift Asia, the forum featured distinguished panellists including Datuk Dr. Nor Fariza binti Ngah, Deputy Director of Health, Research & Technical Support, Dr. Tara Mary George from Sunway Medical Centre, and Dr. Shamala Retnasabapathy of Hospital Sungai Buloh. With insightful discussions on breaking barriers, patient care, and professional development, the forum underscored the vital role of women in enriching healthcare.
