KUALA LUMPUR, March 25 – Generali and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) are collaborating to strengthen the resilience of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Southeast Asia, with a particular focus on Malaysia and Thailand. Through this partnership, the aim is to address the protection gap for vulnerable communities by providing access to innovative insurance solutions and raising awareness about the importance of insurance for SMEs.
At a recent event attended by key stakeholders, including representatives from government bodies and the financial sector, concrete measures were introduced to enhance SME resilience. These measures include the unveiling of a joint research report and a digital tool named the SME Loss Prevention Framework, designed to assist Malaysian SMEs in managing climate-related risks effectively.
