GEORGE TOWN, April 2 – In a momentous announcement yesterday, YB Wong Hon Wai, Chairman of the Penang International Bridge Marathon 2024, revealed details of the highly anticipated Aspen Klippa Penang Bridge International Marathon 2024. Speaking at a press conference attended by esteemed guests including YAB Chow Kon Yeow, Chief Minister of Penang, and Mr. Lim Soo Aun, Chief Financial Officer of Aspen Group, Wong highlighted the significance of this year’s marathon and outlined key enhancements aimed at elevating the participant experience.

Reflecting on his personal journey as a dedicated runner, Wong expressed his excitement about the upcoming marathon, drawing inspiration from his recent participation in the Xiamen International Marathon and the Ride with Police event at the Second Bridge. These experiences, he noted, fueled his determination to introduce innovative changes to this year’s PBIM, including a revised route and starting point. Among the notable highlights of the Aspen Klippa Penang Bridge International Marathon 2024 are the unchanged early bird registration fees, generously sponsored by Aspen and Klippa Shopping Centre, and the introduction of a new race route starting from Aspen Vision City.

Wong emphasized the importance of seamless organization and enhanced facilities, with shuttle services and accommodation options provided to ensure a convenient and enjoyable experience for all participants. Wong urged interested individuals to capitalize on the early bird registration period, offering exclusive benefits such as free courier services. As the countdown to the marathon begins, Wong expressed his gratitude to sponsors, partners, and participants for their unwavering support, underscoring the marathon’s role as a celebration of perseverance, community spirit, and the relentless pursuit of excellence.
