BUKIT MERTAJAM, April 24 – The Ministry of Human Resources (Kesuma), in collaboration with Talent Corporation Malaysia Bhd (TalentCorp), is prepared to offer consultation services to employers and companies interested in implementing flexible working arrangements. Minister Steven Sim highlighted the importance of understanding flexible work arrangements, emphasizing that while many employers and companies express interest, some remain unsure of the process.

“Flexible work arrangements are not new and have been part of our legal framework under the Employment Act 1955 since January last year,” he stated. Kesuma, through TalentCorp, aims to guide companies through the implementation process, ensuring compliance with regulations. Employers, companies, or employees seeking guidance on flexible working arrangements can reach out to the Department of Labour (JTK) in their respective areas. The initiative aligns with Section 60P (1) of the act, granting employees the right to request variations in work hours, days, or location, subject to regulatory guidelines and contractual agreements.
