KUALA LUMPUR, April 25 – Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB) announces the appointment of new members to its Board of Directors, bolstering its leadership with experienced figures from the telecommunications and technology sectors. These appointments follow the Share Subscription Agreements (SSAs) signed between DNB, MOF Inc, and five Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) on December 1, 2023, and are effective as of April 24, 2024.
The five new members will join the existing board members, Datuk Johan Mahmood Merican and Mr. Ma Sivanesan Marimuthu. The new appointees and their alternates represent a diverse range of expertise and backgrounds from prominent organizations such as CelcomDigi, Maxis Broadband, U Mobile, Telekom Malaysia, and YTL Power International. With this expanded leadership team, DNB aims to leverage valuable insights and guidance to propel Malaysia’s digital infrastructure forward and facilitate widespread adoption of 5G technology across various sectors.
DNB anticipates that the newly constituted Board will play a pivotal role in steering the nation towards digital transformation, fostering innovation, and ensuring the seamless integration of cutting-edge technologies into everyday life, business operations, and public services.
