KUALA LUMPUR, July 16 — U Mobile has announced its commitment to advancing Malaysia’s dual 5G network model by completing the share subscription agreement (SSA) process with Digital Nasional Berhad. This move aligns with the government’s 5G ambitions and positions U Mobile to potentially roll out the second 5G network. U Mobile CEO Wong Heang Tuck emphasized the company’s readiness to sign the Shareholders Agreement (SHA) and leverage its expertise and modern infrastructure to support the nation’s digital economy.

To demonstrate its preparedness, U Mobile has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with four Network Facility Providers (NFPs): Bullish Aim, Edgepoint Towers Sdn Bhd, Naza Communications, and OCK Group Berhad. These partnerships will streamline the 5G site infrastructure rollout process, ensuring efficient deployment and expanded coverage across Malaysia. The collaboration underscores U Mobile’s commitment to delivering advanced 5G solutions and accelerating the country’s digital transformation.
