The EOS R1 features a 24-megapixel back-illuminated (BSI) stacked CMOS sensor, capable of upscaling images to 96 megapixels using In-Camera Upscaling technology. Its Accelerated Capture image processing system, which includes the DIGIC Accelerator and DIGIC X, enables unprecedented levels of AF and subject tracking performance.
