GEORGE TOWN, July 26 – Tourism Malaysia, in collaboration with Malaysia Aviation Group and Bank Rakyat, has unveiled “Fly Borneo Specials Vol. 2 – More Adventure Awaits You!” This new tourism package aims to boost interstate travel to Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan through airline partners Firefly and MASwings. The brochure showcases 113 thematic packages designed by 61 tour operators, offering an array of adventures that highlight Borneo’s natural beauty, diverse wildlife, cultural richness, and delectable cuisine.
To make these packages more attractive, Malaysia Aviation Group is offering a 40% discount on airfare for Firefly and MASwings flights. Bank Rakyat further supports travelers by providing a 0% interest payment scheme for package purchases made using its credit cards and terminals, facilitating seamless and affordable Borneo vacations. These packages include both airfare and ground tours, ensuring comprehensive and budget-friendly travel experiences.
The launch event was graced by several notable figures, including Dato’ Yeoh Soon Hin, Deputy Chairman of Tourism Malaysia, and key industry players from Penang Global Tourism, Tourism Perak, Malaysia Aviation Group, and various tourism boards from Sarawak, Sabah, and Labuan. A Business to Business (B2B) session also took place, fostering networking and showcasing Borneo’s latest tourism products to 28 key industry stakeholders from Borneo and the Northern Region.
