KUALA LUMPUR, August 25 — CelcomDigi Bhd (CelcomDigi) and Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into CelcomDigi’s network, aiming to establish one of Malaysia’s most advanced 4G and 5G-ready networks. The collaboration will focus on deploying AI capabilities in CelcomDigi’s Radio Access Network (RAN), including the creation of a digital twin system for rapid network innovation and proactive network management.
CelcomDigi CEO Datuk Idham Nawawi highlighted the strategic importance of this partnership in positioning Malaysia as a leader in 5G and AI development. Huawei Malaysia CEO Simon Sun echoed this sentiment, emphasizing Huawei’s role in building intelligent networks that will drive Malaysia’s digital transformation. The collaboration aims to leverage AI for improved customer experience, cost-effective innovation, and seamless digital transformation across network operations.
