GEORGE TOWN, August 30 – BoomGrow Productions Sdn Bhd (“BoomGrow”) and CelcomDigi Berhad (“CelcomDigi”) have partnered to transform Malaysia’s agricultural industry through the integration of 5G, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Extended Reality (XR) in precision farming. This collaboration aims to enhance sustainable farming practices and boost food production in the country.
By leveraging CelcomDigi’s 5G connectivity, supported by ZTE, BoomGrow Machine Farms can now utilize real-time monitoring, precise environmental control, and predictive analytics, significantly improving crop yields and resource efficiency. The partnership also enables central oversight of multiple farms across Malaysia, enhancing management efficiency through a centralized dashboard.
Key areas of innovation under this partnership include 5G-enhanced precision farming, AI-driven data analytics for real-time decision-making, and immersive agronomist training via XR technology. Minister of Digital, YB Gobind Singh Deo, who officiated the partnership, praised the initiative as a vital step towards boosting productivity and sustainability in Malaysia’s food systems, aligning with the nation’s digital transformation goals.
