Apple has raised the out-of-warranty battery replacement fee for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max to $119, a $20 increase from last year’s iPhone 15 Pro models. According to Apple’s service page, the cost for replacing the battery in standard iPhone 16 models remains at $99, while AppleCare+ users will continue to enjoy free replacements.
The price hike may be tied to the iPhone 16 Pro’s new battery design, which features a rumored metal shell aimed at improving thermal performance. Over recent years, Apple has gradually raised replacement fees across its iPhone lineup, nearly doubling the cost for some older models, making AppleCare+ an increasingly attractive option for consumers.
