SEPANG, October 2 – Tourism Malaysia celebrated the arrival of Batik Air’s inaugural flights from Krabi and Hat Yai, Thailand, to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1 yesterday. The flights, OD587 and OD589, arrived at 1540 hrs and 1725 hrs, respectively, marking a significant step in strengthening connectivity between Malaysia and second-tier cities in Thailand. Tourism Malaysia, alongside representatives from Batik Air and Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB), welcomed 260 passengers on these maiden journeys.
