Apple is set to launch its new M4 Macs later this month, with an expected release on November 1. However, an alleged unboxing video posted on YouTube by Russian tech reviewer Wylsacom appears to offer an early glimpse at the highly anticipated 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by the M4 chip. The video reveals several key upgrades and has sparked excitement among Apple fans.

According to the video, the 14-inch MacBook Pro boasts a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU, a notable improvement over the current M3 model’s 8-core CPU. Benchmark results from Geekbench indicate that the M4 chip offers a 25% boost in performance, with a single-core score of 3864 and a multi-core score of 15288, surpassing the M3’s base model performance. In addition, the device features 16GB of RAM, three Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI port, an SD card slot, and MagSafe connectivity. The unboxing video also showcases the MacBook Pro’s packaging, which aligns with a previous leak from late September.
Notably, the design features the same wallpaper as the M3 models, and the unit is said to have been purchased through a private Facebook group. Mark Gurman of Bloomberg later linked the video to social media, further fueling speculation about the accuracy of this leak. While the authenticity of the video remains unconfirmed, the details align with rumors about the upcoming MacBook Pro, making this a potential first look at Apple’s next-generation laptops.
