Apple is set to unveil its M4-powered Mac lineup later this month, with new versions of the iMac, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini expected to ship by November 1st. Key features to look forward to include an increase to 16GB of RAM as standard across the lineup, signaling a big shift from the previous 8GB base model configuration. Additionally, Apple’s Magic Mouse, Keyboard, and Trackpad are likely to be updated to USB-C, following the European Union’s mandate for universal charging ports.
The new MacBook Pro may also see Space Black available on the base model, previously exclusive to higher-end versions. Another exciting development is a significant redesign of the Mac mini, which will reportedly be smaller and lose USB-A ports in favor of more USB-C connectivity. Apple will also debut its high-performance M4 Pro and M4 Max chips, built on TSMC’s 3nm process, promising faster speeds and greater efficiency.
Another major enhancement across the new M4 Mac lineup is support for Wi-Fi 7, which offers faster speeds—up to 46 Gbps—and improved connectivity, making it five times faster than Wi-Fi 6E. These updates mark a substantial leap forward for Apple’s Mac range, enhancing performance, design, and connectivity for users.
