GEORGE TOWN, May 10 – A long-term free flow traffic system will be implemented at the Jalan Tengah–Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah junction in Penang.
To improve traffic movement and reduce congestion. Under the new arrangement, motorists travelling from KOMTAR towards Jalan Tengah will be required to use a newly constructed U-turn facility.
Located in front of Renesas as part of the traffic reconfiguration plan. The change is part of ongoing efforts to streamline vehicular flow along one of the key urban corridors in the state.
Authorities said the redesign aims to enhance road efficiency and safety by eliminating direct turning conflicts at the junction.
Motorists are advised to follow new road signage and adjust their routes accordingly once the system is fully operational.
