GEORGE TOWN, May 28 — Lim Guan Eng has urged the Penang Development Corporation (PDC) to take legal action against PLB Engineering Berhad over RM20 million.
In unpaid project management fees linked to the RM1 billion Jelutong landfill rehabilitation project. Lim said PLB had only made one RM5 million payment in 2021.
Despite owing four years of annual payments since 2022 under the Joint Development Agreement signed in 2020.
He questioned why no legal action had been taken despite repeated project delays, multiple extensions of time.
And five rejections of the project’s Environmental Impact Assessment report. Lim also criticised the lack of explanation from Chow Kon Yeow and former state exco Phee Boon Poh over the issue.
