KUALA LUMPUR, June 21 — Malaysia has been named the Top Muslim-Friendly Destination (OIC) in the Global Muslim Travel Index 2026, marking its 11th consecutive year leading the rankings.
The country also topped the Muslim-Friendly Accessible Destination and Muslim Women-Friendly Destination categories.
The recognition highlights Malaysia’s strong Muslim-friendly tourism ecosystem, supported by initiatives from Islamic Tourism Centre.
And national hospitality standards that continue to attract Muslim travellers from around the world.
