SHAH ALAM, March 3 – Ex- Umno Supreme Council and now PKR secretary Saifuddin Abdullah said after an Asset Declaration forum here today that the suspended Umno Deputy President Muhyiddin Yassin, who is also Former Deputy Prime Minister, can’t save the ‘dying’ UMNO.

Saifuddin explained that internal reforms was almost impossible to be carried out, as Umno was already in dire straits. He said maybe Muhyiddin thinks changes can be made within the party. But for him, he said UMNO is already dying and it is hard to carry out changes from within.

“Muhyiddin might have chosen to remain in the party in order to defend his now suspended position as UMNO deputy president. Muhyiddin may have stayed in UMNO because he wants to defend his case. This is because he cannot appeal the decision if he is no longer a member. He claimed that he was suspended without being given a fair chance to defend himself,” Muhyiddin said.
