GEORGE TOWN, March 19 – Penang Chief Minister, Lim Guan Eng urge the Commission of Anti-Corruption (MACC) immediately to investigate him over the home purchase bungalow in Jalan Pinhorn, here, today. Guan Eng said he would give full cooperation to the MACC of inquiry following the sure there was no element of corruption in the purchase of his house with the issue of the sale of land in Taman Manggis.

“The issue of the purchase of his house is a malicious slander and dirty political tactics to attack him as the Chief Minister of Penang. This time really fast feedback by the MACC on my case. I have no problem to help in the investigation but I urge hasten this inquiry as I believe, there is no element of corruption in this case,” Lim said.

“However, what is surprising state MACC had stated that they had conducted an investigation before this relates to my home rentals in 2009. If so, why was MACC did not made the announcement to the public since 2009 that it is unfounded? I never questioned by the MACC in connection with the rental of my home RM5,000 a month before I bought it,” he said.

Earlier, Guan Eng claimed that the transactions of his house in Jalan Pinhorn costing RM2.8 million was made willingly between buyers and sellers without any coercion. He said he bought over the 30-year-old double-storey bungalow at Pinhorn Road on a “willing buyer, willing seller” basis according to the market price.
