TAIPING, April 11 – Taiping MP Nga Kor Ming has been given 48 hours from this afternoon to apologise to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor over a recent defamatory Facebook posting. A notice of demand was served to Nga at his service centre in Taiping here at 3.35pm by lawyer Nur Shafiqa Balqish Jaffri from Hafarizam Wan & Aisha Mubarak.
It was received by Nga’s assistant, Ng Sern Wei, at the service centre. Speaking to reporters later, Shafiqa said the firm had been appointed by Najib to act in his own personal capacity. “Nga has 48 hours from 3.35pm today to apologise to our clients, failing which, we will decide on the next course of action,” she added. Nga’s Facebook posting on Mar 29 titled “Siapa PM M’sia yang Sebenar? Jawab!” had garnered 3,697 likes and shared 2,366 times.
