KUALA LUMPUR, June 30 – Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Hasan Malek said that monthly petrol and diesel prices notification will no longer be announced in advance to public from now. The notification will just only issue to the retailers at the midnight time on the last day of the month.
Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Hasan Malek told the reporters after attending the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Open Day organised by UMNO Youth in Kuala Lumpur. There were also attending by UMNO Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar, who is also Youth and Sports Minister and Deputy Finance Minister and UMNO Information chief Datuk Ahmad Maslan.
“From Dec 1 last year, this was already due to the fact of the case which it has become a routine affair of the following implementation of the Managed Float System for the pricing of RON95 pertol and diesel. The changes in the price of RON95 petrol and diesel will be announced under the system on the ministry’s website and RON97 petrol price will be subjected to the market prices,” he added.
