KUALA LUMPUR, Jul 28 – Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has given his assurance that he as a UMNO Deputy President will always be loyal and continue to implement the mandate entrusted with pouring out his dedication to strengthen the party and restore the public confidence in the Malays.
Muhyiddin who had dropped from the cabinet would like to thank to the Prime Minister for giving him the opportunity to serve in the administration of the federal government as deputy prime minister since 10 April 2009. Besides that, also would like to thank to all the heads of departments, government officials, leaders of non-governmental organizations and all those who have supported him throughout his duties as Deputy Prime Minister.
“I accept the Prime Minister’s decision to drop me from the cabinet with an open heart. I respect the prerogative of the Prime Minister’s power to appoint and remove any member of the Cabinet. As deputy prime minister, I have been directly involved in the creation of government policies and carry out the duties entrusted to me with great trust,” said Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin in his statement.
“During my service, I will always support all government policies and supporting the leadership of the Prime Minister. Except in 1MDB issue, I have my own principles and stand in defense of our people, the reputation of the party and state interests. If because of my stance on this issue was dropped from the cabinet and I will accept for it,” he added.
