KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 14 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak visited the Governor General of Australia Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (B) at a hotel on Thursday. Najib who was also accompanied by his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor which been arrived at the hotel at 12.30pm and hold a private meeting with Cosgrove for about 15 minutes.
The Prime Minister and his wife left the hotel at about 1pm. Cosgrove, senior military officers who retired Australia, and accompanied by his wife Lynne Lady Cosgrove, who is on a five-day state visit in Malaysia began and 11 August. Cosgrove’s was first time visit to Malaysia since becoming Governor General of Australia is the 26th in 2014.
Meanwhile, Cosgrove was given an official welcome at Dataran Putra in Putrajaya. Cosgrove also scheduled to visit the Australian International School in Seri Kembangan prior to Monash University Sunway Campus in Bandar Sunway. Cosgrove and his wife are also expected to visit Penang and Sabah.
