GEORGE TOWN, Aug 17 – Thousand people late for work and school because of the traffic congestion at Sungai Nibong, Bayan Baru and Bayan Lepas area due to road closure for safety purpose while they are upgrading the highway this morning. The crawl on Lebuhraya Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu had been stretched off to some 5km while it was on Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah.
In the same time, the traffic moving was jus mere around 10km/h. Penang Island City Council (MBPP) Engineering Department Deputy Director said the traffic congestion was due to the closure of the main road in Lebuhraya Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu for the road upgrading works.
