KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 29 – The Bersih 4.0 street rally which organising by the Bersih 2.0 Steering Committee Maria Chin Abdullah are starting this morning. The purpose of the rally are calling the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s resignation over his handling of 1MDB issues.
The rally was start to gather at Pasar Seni with around 800 participants. In the same time, about 1,000 people hovering around Bangkok Bank in Jalan Tun Perak with mostly dressed in Bersih 4 t-shirt. However, there were also few places were gathered of the Bersih 4 participants.
Besides that, there were also thousands participants of Bersih 4 now flooding the lawn at Sogo shopping center. The situation is now like a party when they sound the vuvuzela and cheered when passing cars honked. The number of participants estimated 200,000 people is participated in the Bersih 4.0 rally on 3:00pm.
There were about 20 participants stood by the barrier onto the pitch after the fall of the Parliament, while others were about 50 meters away. Two barriers installed to prevent people from entering Dataran Merdeka and there are more than 100 policemen were deployed.
While, Bersih 4 participants will move to the Dataran Merdeka at 3.30pm with a numbers of 250,000 participants. Also were present Vice President Rafizi Ramli, Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, Datuk Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, Chairman of GHB Mohamad Sabu and Leader of DAP Lim Kit Siang. Out of Malaysia, BERSIH 4 assemblies were also held around the world.
