KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 1 – Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Praya said that the presence of former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad at the Bersih 4 rally on Saturday seemed to indicate he was in cahoots with the opposition parties to topple the country’s leaders.
“Dr Mahathir also shows her along to support the demonstration and rally, although not admit it. I do not see what he basically said he does not support the net while down overnight. This is a big change from Tun (Dr) Mahathir because he was once against street protests,” Salleh told reporters after attending the parade to celebrate the National Day Celebration 2015 here Monday.
Salleh said this when asked to comment on anything he attended the Bersih rally last Saturday. He said that Dr Mahathir is now seen willing to work with opposition parties in an effort to topple the country’s leaders and has betrayed the party. He added that the move means Dr Mahathir has no more loyal to Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN) generally, and he hope that Umno and Barisan Nasional should take appropriate action against him.
