KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 16 – The National Service Department director-general Datuk Mohmed Asri Yusof in a statement here today had been denied the issuing of the approvals for its buses to be used for the red shirt rally. He said the department did not issue any approval and has no connection with the buses bearing the PLKN stickers that were used in the rally.
In the same time, he was denied that the National Service Department was in the support of the Red Shirt rally or has approved the usage of their buses to ferry rally-goers for the rally as there were only a handful of buses were still on rental basis by the department.
He added that the national service programme has been postponed this year while they were in the midst of implementing a transformation programme. So that, the department will only rented a few buses while the remainders were under the responsibility of the bus operators with the companies.
