KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 1 – Low visibility of less than five kilometres over the waters off Kedah, Penang, Perak, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor, Pahang and Sarawak is expected to persist till Saturday. According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department, the condition is dangerous to sea vessels without navigational equipment.
A similar condition over the waters off the Straits of Malacca, Tioman, Bunguran, Kuching and Reef South is also expected to continue till Saturday. These waters are also among 19 areas that recorded unhealthy air quality with air pollutant index (API) readings exceeding 101 as of 9 am on Thursday.
