GEORGE TOWN, Oct 28 – Some 40 staff from MBPP enforcement unit carried out a check on two unlicensed budget hotel in Dato Keramat and also Jalan Macalister in George Town this morning. Among the items that were carted away from the hotel premise were mattresses, beds and television sets.
According to the enforcement department, this is the third and fourth hotel premise around George Town, which has been found to be operating without a valid licence after the first MBPP implement enforcement measures at the Lebuh Penang, followed by a second in Jalan Rangoon.
