IPOH, Nov 4 – Heavy rain for nearly four hours have resulted in flash floods in Jalan Kuala Kangsar, Ipoh here on this evening. A state Fire and Rescue Department Director Yahya Madis said the rain began at 3pm and the water began to rose up to 0.7 metres at around 5 pm in the area while forcing the evacuation of 10 people in the area. He said that the evacuees from several houses near the main road were relocated to a community hall. In the meantime, he said the firemen also helped to evacuate the victims at about 7pm and they were still on standby at the affected area.
