KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 6 – Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Azalina Othman Said said on Thursday that all the answer on the RM2.6 billion donation into Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s accounts as well as those on 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) will be answered in Parliament on last day of the Parliament from 10am to 11.30pm.
“The answers might also be provided by the relevant ministers. I am a lawyer. I hold on to the law and the law that guides Parliament,” replied by Azalina when she was asked on allegations that she was ‘guarding’ the prime minister from answering the questions.
“I have read through Standing Order and realised that on asking questions, it can be decided on when to answer due to there are a few hundred questions a day, we can do ten or twelve. The rest are turned into written answers due to the Standing Order does not say that the questions must be answered on the day they are asked,” said Azalina.
“The government will address all queries concerning the RM2.6 billion donation deposited into Najib personal account in Parliament during this sitting. Besides that, the question will be answered simultaneously with all other questions on the same issue at a date to be fixed in the current parliamentary meeting,” she said.
