GEORGE TOWN, Nov 6 – Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng share in selective prosecution of the Chairman of the Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections (Bersih 4.0), Maria Chin Abdullah, 59, at his office here Komtar on Thursday. He said Maria Chin was charged in the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court on November 3 was the alleged failure to give notice to the police in relation to the organization of the Bersih 4.0 in August.

“It is an indictment of ‘selective prosecution’ because this was just only acting on the BERSIH, where there is no tear gas or water squeezed by the car of Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) while everything is went peacefully,” said Lim who is also DAP secretary-general.

“Meanwhile, the assembly which is sponsored by Umno no case prosecution, which make saliva and also the communal rioting in Law Yat Plaza also ‘no case’ where charged.
