HULU TERENGGANU, Nov 23 – The Hulu Terengganu parliamentary constituency has allocated RM750,000 to provide hearses for five mosques at five villages here. Its member of parliament, Datuk Jailani Johari, who is also communications and multimedia deputy minister, said the vans costing RM150,000 each were distributed for use by villagers for funeral precession. “The van is equipped with special tools for funeral procession and it is also complete with a coffin to carry the body to the cemetery. Besides Kampung Tapu, he had previously handed over two hearses to Kampung Kuala Telemong and Kampung Tok Randok. After this, we will deliver hearses to Kampung Menerong and Kampung Bukit Diman…and to other villages,” Jailani told reporters after handing over a hearse to the Kampung Tapu mosque here on Saturday.
