GEORGE TOWN, Dec 12 – Medan Penaga traffic flow will be turned from two ways street into one way street as on Dec 11 by the Penang Island City Council (MBPP), said Batu Lanchang assemblyman Danny Law. He said this one way street system will be in effect for a test trial of 3 months.
“There has numerous accidents and arguments before along this road due to the congested of the parking by the residents at both sides of the road. Early this year, we have widening the road which reducing the walkway to get more parking slot for residents but still not enough,” said Danny Law in a press conference on Friday.
“After some discussion and feedback from the residents, we have decided to turn the Medan Penaga traffic flow from two ways street into one way street. Hope that the traffic can flow smooth here and also lessen the accidents and arguments in the area,” he said.
