GEORGE TOWN, Dec 24 – All classes of vehicles heading to the Penang Island via the Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Bridge (JSAHMS) will enjoy a 20 per cent discount on toll rate in conjunction with Christmas which will be celebrated on Dec 25.
The discounts on the toll rates will be effective from 12.01am to 11.59pm on Dec 25. Managing Director of Jambatan Kedua Sdn Bhd (JKSB) Datuk Dr Ismail Mohamad Taib said that the toll discount offer was part of their continuous corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme initiatives.
He said it is also the way of saying thank you to all of the users, especially to those who have been traveling and using the bridge since its opening in March last year. He said this in a statement here on Wednesday. On average, about 12,500 vehicles use the bridge every day and the number will increase during festivities, school holidays and long weekends.
