KUALA LUMPUR, March 1 – MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai urged Penang State Government to reconsider the Penang Transport Master Plan which plan for a 30ft land setback of Penang Chinese Girls’ High School (PCGHS). He said he hope that Penang State Government can reconsider it for being allowed to build a new block, if the claim was true.
“The land would be taken from the school’s front yard which borders Jalan Gottlieb. It may affected outdoor activities and thus cease to cater for the needs of the 5,000 school children. Meanwhile, the master-plan of high-speed road connecting the island, if implemented as currently designed, will hugely increase traffic flow along Gottlieb Road and pose significant safety concern for the school children,” the alumni claimed in the Facebook page.
