KUALA LUMPUR, March 13 – Members of an ABC Four Corners crew have been detained in Malaysia while reporting on “a local political issue”, the broadcaster has announced. The ABC would not confirm who was arrested, but it’s believed journalist Linton Besser and a camera operator were detained and released hours after attending a press conference in the country. An ABC spokesperson, on Sunday, said the journalist and a camera operator have not been charged with any offence.
