KUALA LUMPUR, Mar 13 – Malaysia’s infamous bomohs are back in action again. The “Raja Bomoh Sedunia” had volunteered their services to assist the country in its time of need – this time to protect Malaysia from a possible nuke attack from outside forces, including North Korea.

A three-minute 18-second video of Ibrahim Mat Zin, who calls himself Raja Bomoh Sedunia Nujum VIP with the title of Datuk Mahaguru, conducting a ritual on a beach in their effort to protect the country from harm. Ibrahim and his three assistants enter ankle-deep water with two coconuts, a pair of sticks used as binoculars, five bamboo cannons, a carpet and a bowl of seawater.

Ibrahim, who is wearing a business suit, recites prayers throughout the ritual and then vehemently throws the coconuts into the water as the ritual ends. The video has a warning not to conduct the ritual at home. There was also a disclaimer in the video, stating that the ritual should not be conducted at home.

“This time, the ritual is to protect Malaysia from any threat or attack from other countries especially North Korea. Besides that, the ritual is also to soften the North Korean Supreme Leader’s Kim Jong Un heart so he will release the 11 Malaysians at the Malaysian embassy in Pyongyang immediately and improve the relations between both countries,” Ibrahim was quoted as saying in a Malay portal.

He also explained that the use of bamboo cannon has a symbolic significance throughout the ritual. In the same time, he also added that the ritual is not to provoke any party but merely a cautionary measure to ensure that the conflict will be resolved soon.

North Korea last week had barred all Malaysians from leaving the country on March 7 following a diplomatic tension Malaysia and North Korea soured after the assassination of Kim Jong Nam, half-brother of Jong Un, at klia2 on Feb 13 and Malaysia expelled North Korean ambassador Kang Chol for his remarks.

Two Malaysians who are employees of the United Nations World Food Programme were allowed to leave the country on Thursday, leaving nine others still stranded there. Ibrahim’s became well-known after he performed a ritual at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport when MAS flight MH370 disappeared from radar screens in March 2014.
