PUTRAJAYA, May 17 – Film director David Teo was attacked during a Transformasi Nasional 50 (TN50) dialogue session, with the presence of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak, in Putrajaya tonight. Actor Sulaiman Yassin, more popularly known as Mat Over, abruptly slapped Metrowealth Pictures producer David Teo during a question and answer session of the dialogue.
The incident occurred just few metres from where Najib was standing along with the dialogue’s moderator Datuk Rosyam Nor. The scuffle happened when Teo, in posing his question, raised his voice and criticised Rosyam for giving less opportunity to those at the back to raise questions or speak.
At this point, Sulaiman was said to have rushed over and suddenly slapped Teo. Both of them were then escorted out from the venue by the security officials to avoid the situation to develop further. Rosyam, who is also a director and actor, said he was embarrassed over the incident and apologised to Najib. The duo emerged several minutes later and also apologised to Najib, drawing applause from the crowd.
