They were nabbed by police at various locations in the Klang Valley on the first day of Hari Raya. It is learnt that the man who is a Datuk was overseas at the time of the incident. Investigators learnt that the robbers who wore face masks and were armed with sharp weapons had broken into the house in the wee hours of June 22 by prying open a window.

The victim’s wife and children who were asleep at the time were rudely awakened when the robbers confronted them. After tying them up, the robbers ransacked the house in search of valuables and fled the place minutes later with the loot. The terrified victims managed to free themselves before calling the police.

After gathering clues at the scene, a police team launched a search for the suspects and managed to trace the businessman’s former employee before nabbing the rest. Petaling Jaya police chief ACP Mohd Zani Che Din told theSun yesterday that none of the occupants of the house were harmed and the case is solved with the arrest of the suspects who are locals. He said police also recovered part of the stolen loot from the suspects and investigations are ongoing.
