KUALA LUMPUR, November 23 – The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) launched roadblocks (SJR) at strategic locations in every district across the country on a 24-hour basis starting Tuesday. Inspector General of Police, Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said, the move to set up SJR is part of PDRM’s efforts to prevent crime through increasing the level of ‘omnipresence’ to ensure public safety and order.
For the comfort of road users and the smoothness of traffic, there will be no SJR obstacles during peak hours during the day he said in a statement on Wednesday. Acryl Sani said that the public is asked to cooperate in obeying the instructions given when passing through SJR, especially outside peak hours. The public does not need to worry about carrying out their daily activities because the PDRM assures that the level of security is under control he said.
