PUTRAJAYA, February 12 – Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim would like to announce the appointment of five individuals who will be members of a special advisory body to help advise me as Minister of Finance. This special advisory body consists of professionals and economic experts and will be led by Petronas Advisor, Tan Sri Hassan Marican.
In addition to Tan Sri Hassan, this special advisory body will be composed of FVSB Executive Chairman, Dato’ Ahmad Fuad Md Ali; Professor of Economics at Sunway University, Professor Dr Yeah Kim Leng; University of Malaya Professor of Economics, Dato’ Senior Professor Rajah Rasiah; and Chairman of Sarawak Energy Berhad, Datuk Amar Abdul Hamed Sepawi. I reiterate the position that this appointed special advisory body will not receive any payment from the government.
