SINGAPORE, August 14 – SoftServe, a leading IT consulting company specializing in software development and digital services, has partnered with the National Quantum Computing Hub (NQCH) and the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) to successfully launch Singapore’s first Quantum Bootcamp. This transformative educational program aims to empower students pursuing careers in quantum computing and drive Singapore’s advancements in this cutting-edge field.

The Quantum Bootcamp, an intensive eight-week program, is the first of its kind in Asia and offers university graduates a comprehensive curriculum encompassing academic instruction, practical applications, and hands-on experiences with real-world use cases. With guidance from industry experts, participants gain valuable insights and skills in quantum computing. The bootcamp also provides exclusive networking opportunities with renowned multinational companies, including NVIDIA, IBM, and AWS, further enhancing participants’ exposure to industry leaders.

Wen Huang, SoftServe APAC’s Chief Technology Officer, expressed pride in collaborating with dedicated partners to nurture quantum computing talent in Singapore. “SoftServe’s commitment to innovation, engineering excellence, and talent development aligns with the objectives of the Quantum Bootcamp. We are eager to drive more initiatives like this and contribute to positioning Singapore as a global innovation destination.” The culmination of the program featured presentations showcasing how quantum computing can revolutionize traditional approaches and unlock new business opportunities.

The bootcamp participants demonstrated the potential of quantum computing in improving operational efficiency, optimizing costs, and enabling strategic decision-making capabilities for various industries. José Ignacio Latorre, Lead Principal Investigator for the NQCH and Director of the Centre for Quantum Technologies, emphasized the significance of quantum technologies and the students’ dedication to diving into the field. He expressed excitement about witnessing how participants will further develop their skills and contribute to the quantum ecosystem.
