PUTRAJAYA, August 30 – Approximately 10,000 media practitioners across the country will receive a one-month rebate on their mobile phone bills in September under the Media Practitioner Rahmah Rebate incentives, announced Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil. Fahmi stated that this incentive serves as a token of appreciation for media practitioners, who play a significant role in promoting the Rahmah initiative under the Malaysia Madani concept. “God-willing, the Media Practitioner Rahmah Rebate incentive can be implemented in September.
All media practitioners with Information Department-issued media cards are eligible to receive the rebate,” he affirmed. Following the launch of the Rahmah 5G Package and Rahmah Postpaid Incentive for Civil Servants, Fahmi shared that this special incentive for media practitioners represents the first collaborative effort between the Communications and Digital Ministry, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission, and telecommunications companies.
“We will hold further discussions,” he added, noting that details would be announced following discussions with the participating telcos, including TM (Unifi Mobile), CelcomDigi, Maxis, U Mobile, and YTL Communications (Yes).
