KUALA LUMPUR, November 4 – PETRONAS Chemicals Group Berhad (PCG) has unveiled AireBlue™, its high-quality diesel exhaust fluid, at selected Kedai Mesra outlets for the first time. This milestone was achieved through the collaboration between PCG’s wholly-owned subsidiary, PETRONAS Chemicals Marketing (Labuan) Ltd. (PCML), and PETRONAS Lubricants Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (PLMMSB). Introduced initially in 2019, AireBlue™ is now accessible at several Kedai Mesra outlets in the state of Johor, commencing with Gelang Patah (Selatan), Bayu Senibong, and the R&R Skudai Arah Utara region.

Given its strategic proximity to Singapore, PCG anticipates expanding its reach to Singaporean customers as well. Shakeel Ahmad Khan, the Chief Commercial Officer of PCG, highlighted, “Air pollution is a global concern, with diesel exhaust being a significant contributor due to its Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) emissions. The introduction of AireBlue™ at Kedai Mesra outlets empowers drivers with access to a more environmentally friendly option for diesel exhaust fluids, allowing them to contribute to reducing their vehicle’s environmental footprint.”

Khan further added, “Looking ahead, PCG aims to make AireBlue™ readily available at Kedai Mesra outlets nationwide for enhanced customer convenience.” AireBlue™, an AdBlue® product, is a premium diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) composed of a high-purity urea-based reagent designed to convert NOx emissions from diesel vehicles into harmless nitrogen and water. When used in conjunction with a vehicle’s Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system, the high-purity AireBlue™ solution can minimize impurity formation, resulting in cleaner exhaust emissions.

This not only enhances a vehicle’s effectiveness in reducing NOx emissions but also prolongs the life of a diesel vehicle’s catalytic converter. AireBlue™, developed by PCG, stands as a superior choice for vehicle users. It holds certification from the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) as a high-quality DEF, meeting strict product requirements based on ISO Standards 22241-1.
