GELUGOR, May 7 – Rapid Penang has introduced the trial service of bus route T310, starting from Jalan Universiti Padang Kawad Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) to Bukit Jambul and Queensbay. This trial route, which commenced on May 2, 2024, will run for three months until July 31, 2024. Operating from 6:00 AM to 10:30 PM, fares range from RM0.90 to RM2.10, covering nearly 15 kilometers with 35 stops and frequencies of every 20 minutes during peak hours and every 30 minutes during off-peak hours.

Ahmad Shabuddin Abdullah, Northern Region Head of Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd, stated, “Route T310 is a new route aimed at facilitating the movement of USM students from campus to selected destinations, especially the Bukit Jambul Hub, to connect to other existing bus routes.” This initiative is part of an effort to encourage the use of public transportation among Penang residents, with Rapid Penang hoping that USM students will benefit from this service.
