BAYAN LEPAS, June 18 – Pantai Hospital Penang announces a partial closure of the Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Bridge, specifically the outbound route from Batu Maung to Batu Kawan, on Sunday, June 23, from 12.01 a.m. to 9 a.m. for the Pantai Marathon Run 2024. The closure is in celebration of Olympic Day, and the affected route will reopen and resume normal operations immediately after the event concludes at 9 a.m.
During the closure, the public is advised to use the First Penang Bridge as an alternative route to exit the island and follow on-site instructions for smooth travel. Participants of the Pantai Marathon can avail themselves of a free shuttle bus service from Queensbay Mall to the race venue at Batu Maung Foodie, operating from 11.30 p.m. to 11.30 a.m. Pantai Hospital Penang appreciates the cooperation and understanding of all highway users during this time.
