KUALA LUMPUR, 24 – EDOTCO Malaysia, the nation’s largest telecommunications infrastructure company, has launched a pioneering capacity development program aimed at enhancing the capabilities of Malaysian SMEs. The EDOTCO Vendor Development Program (VDP), initially introduced in 2018, has been revamped to include five critical dimensions: Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG), Occupational Health & Safety (OHS), Integrity, Business Continuity Management, and Rollout Operations. This initiative ensures vendors align with global standards such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals and ISO 45001.
Adlan Tajuddin, CEO of EDOTCO Group, emphasized the program’s role in fostering a robust, efficient, and sustainable supply chain. The program supports over 150 vendors, starting with the ESG module, which grants access to the Government’s Skim Insentif Kelestarian. This alignment not only boosts vendor performance but also prepares them for Malaysia’s sustainability goals, including the net-zero target by 2050. Amirul Imran Ahmat, CEO of CEDAR, highlighted the program’s alignment with the New Industrial Master Plan 2030, promoting sustainable practices and enhancing SME competitiveness.
