BUKIT JALIL, June 30 — YB Tuan Chang Lih Kang, Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, inaugurated the Industry Technology Innovation Centre (ITIC), Semiconductor Research Consortium, and MIMOS Academy at MIMOS Berhad in Kulim High-Tech Park, Kedah, on June 22, 2024. The ITIC, encompassing four centres managed by different agencies under MOSTI, marks a significant milestone in Malaysia’s technology sector.
The ITIC will focus on Automated Test Equipment (ATE) to support the E&E Roadmap 2021-2030, aiming to localize high-value components and increase value-added contributions. The Semiconductor Research Consortium, led by MIMOS, will advance semiconductor technology through strategic collaborations, while the MIMOS Academy will nurture future tech pioneers.
