KUALA LUMPUR, July 3 — CIMB Clicks Online Banking and CIMB OCTO App will introduce new security features by the end of June 2024 to bolster protection against financial fraud. This initiative is part of CIMB’s ongoing efforts to enhance the security of online banking transactions in compliance with regulatory directives. Effective immediately, all fund transfers, including Favorite transactions such as JomPAY, Bill Payments, Top-Ups, and transfers to own accounts, will require SecureTAC approval.

Additionally, a default transaction limit of RM5,000 will be set for transfers to own accounts for new users of CIMB Clicks and CIMB OCTO App. Enhancements to transaction limits on CIMB OCTO App will be subject to a 12-hour cooling-off period before taking effect, while the transaction limit feature on CIMB Clicks will be discontinued. These measures aim to provide CIMB customers with a more secure online banking experience, safeguarding them against potential financial scams and fraudulent activities.
